As your therapist I offer you the freedom and privacy to discuss issues that are often painful or difficult to discuss with family or friends. I invite you to communicate your expectations and provide ongoing feedback so that we are working together and making positive progress toward your goals. Our sessions are designed for your benefit and growth. During our time together, I will listen to your needs and concerns, and together we will craft a plan for positive change.
My approach to psychotherapy is to explore and process patterned thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that inhibit well-being. Distressing thoughts that continuously spin within the head can be very debilitating. Often times my clients are wanting relief from the internal dialogue or to shake off internal emotions that they cannot control or stop. Through the exploration of these thoughts and looking at the patterns we tend to repeat, one can gain insight and a sense of empowerment and control over their current circumstances and life situation. Together we will seek to identify the root causes of distress, and then walk the journey of conquering what we discovered was maladaptive, so that hope, healing, and lasting relief becomes the new way and experience of living life.
